19 Jul Celebrate with us!
I can’t begin to tell you what it means to stand here—21 years after we began this journey together—and look out at this beautiful community that has become family.
What started in 2004 as a way to show the world who my daughter Kammy is… has become something far bigger than I ever imagined. Back then, I didn’t have a plan. I didn’t have a roadmap. I had a little girl with 4p- syndrome, and I had a whole lot of love—and a need to do something with it.
I had no idea where this road would take us. But I knew I wasn’t going to let her—or any child like her—go unseen.
And here we are, getting ready to celebrate the 21st Annual Kammy’s Kause, right here in Fortville, Indiana, on August 22nd and 23rd. Twenty-one years of music. Of moments. Of memories. Of meaning.
What we’ve built together isn’t just a fundraiser. It’s a movement. It’s a safe space. It’s a celebration of life and difference and resilience. It’s a reminder that while 4p- syndrome may be rare, the love, strength, and joy in these families is anything but.
Every year, I meet new faces—parents who feel less alone, siblings who feel seen, kids who feel free. I see longtime supporters who come back year after year, because this Kause has become part of their hearts, too.
This Kause has never been about me. It’s always been about Kammy—and every child like her. Every parent who’s been scared. Every family looking for a place where they belong. We’ve raised awareness. We’ve raised funds. But more importantly, we’ve raised each other.
I’ll be honest with you—it hasn’t always been easy. But when I see the smiles, when I hear the music, when I watch this town come alive with purpose… it reminds me why we started. And why we keep going.
This 21st year is a milestone—but it’s not the finish line. We’re still pushing. Still fighting. Still believing. And I know, with all of you by our side, we’re just getting started.
So join us. Celebrate with us. Sing, dance, donate, share a hug, tell a story, meet a family. Be a part of this Kause in whatever way you can.
beKause what we’re doing matters. And together, we’ve created something that will outlive us all.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. For showing up. For standing with us. And for loving my daughter—and this Kause—the way you do.
We’ll see you in Fortville. Let’s make year 21 unforgettable.
Thank you,
Jared Hiner
